The Taupō Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, 2 August 2025, in Taupō, New Zealand. This event is recognized as one of the country’s longest-running and most iconic running and walking events. The marathon features a two-lap course that includes the scenic Great Lake Pathway, offering participants panoramic views of Lake Taupō and the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
Starting on Tongariro Street, runners will finish at the Tongariro Domain, home to the Great Lake Centre. The half marathon shares the same picturesque route but is completed in a single lap. For younger participants, the Trail Tigers Kids Dash consists of a one-kilometre loop through Riverside Park, also finishing at the Tongariro Domain.
