The Taupō Harriers Summer Series features a race on 5 March 2025, taking place at Wharewaka Point, Taupō. This event is part of a bi-weekly series held on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer months.
The course consists of an out-and-back loop along the Great Lake Pathway and Lions Walk, offering participants scenic views of Lake Taupō and the surrounding landscape. The route leads to 2 Mile Bay, providing a flat and accessible terrain for runners and walkers alike.
In addition to the main event, there is a race for children that involves two laps around Wharewaka Point, totaling 1500 meters. This series not only promotes community engagement in physical activity but also fosters a supportive environment for participants of all ages.
