The Veterinary Centre Whitehorse Big Easy is slated for 6 April 2025 and features various categories including individual mountain bike and trail run/walk, as well as a solo or team relay duathlon.
The event takes place at Waimate’s Victoria Park, conveniently located just a short walk from the town centre and characterised by its backdrop of painted silos. All courses, with the exception of one mountain biking trail, start and finish at Victoria Park, forming loop tracks that cater to participants of varying skill levels and competitive spirits.
Children’s events, trail run/walk, duathlon, team challenge, and an array of mountain bike distances form the roster of races. Participants can expect a variety of experiences, from child-friendly courses to challenging trails for seasoned competitors, making this event diverse and inclusive. Unique to this event is the team relay duathlon, adding an element of camaraderie to the competition.
