The Wine Run is scheduled for 18 January 2025 at the Rossendale Wines Vineyard, located approximately 7 minutes south of Christchurch. This unique running event features a scenic course that takes participants through the vineyard’s picturesque landscape, offering wine tastings at each kilometre along the route.
Participants can choose to complete one or two laps of the course, with a generous time limit of two and a half hours for those opting for the longer distance. Upon finishing, runners receive a commemorative wine glass as a memento of the event.
This race is restricted to individuals aged 18 and over, and proof of age will be required at both event pack collection and entry to the vineyard. In addition to the run, attendees can enjoy food and live entertainment post-race, enhancing the overall experience within the vineyard setting. The Wine Run combines physical activity with a distinctive culinary experience, making it a notable event on the running calendar.
