The Otipua Challenge will take place from January 25 to 26, 2025, at Redruth Park in Timaru. This event features a time-limited trail run set around the Otipua Wetlands, with participants completing laps on a predominantly smooth and flat 6 km course that includes a small hill.
Runners have the option to compete solo or as part of a relay team, consisting of 2 to 4 members, with only one runner on the course at any given time. The unique aspect of this event lies in its flexible time limits, allowing participants to run, walk, or crawl for a duration of 6, 12, or 24 hours, depending on their chosen format.
The Otipua Wetlands provide a scenic backdrop, enhancing the experience with diverse flora and fauna. Post-race amenities and activities will be available, contributing to the overall atmosphere of the event.
