The Botanic Gardens Trail will take place on 27 September 2025 at the Auckland Botanical Gardens and Totara Regional Park, forming part of the 2025 Aramex Kiwi Walk & Run Series. The event features a variety of courses that begin in the scenic Auckland gardens, leading participants through beautifully landscaped areas before transitioning into the native bush of Totara Park.
The mid and long courses offer an opportunity to explore the diverse terrain of this regional park, including sections of farmland and ancient growth native bush, which enhance the natural beauty of the landscape. The courses are characterized by a mix of surfaces, with approximately 55% comprised of well-formed gravel tracks, 25% paved footpaths, and 20% grass paths.
This event not only highlights Auckland’s natural environment but also encourages community participation in outdoor activities. Post-race amenities will be available, creating an environment for relaxation and social interaction among participants. The Botanic Gardens Trail stands out as a unique addition to the Kiwi Walk & Run Series, contributing to the region’s active lifestyle culture.
